About Box Springs

Box Springs is a secluded community in Moreno Valley, California that offers gorgeous city and mountain views.

Box Springs is comprised of single family homes with large lots and room for RV parking. Located five miles from Riverside’s downtown district, this community is at the edge of the Box Springs Mountain Park. The main mountain tops out at 3,083 feet in elevation and provides a home to many lizards, snakes, bobcats, coyotes, bears, burros, deer, and mountain lions. At its base are several immense eucalyptus trees.

Moreno Valley Unified School District has jurisdiction over this community. Students may attend facilities such as Hidden Springs Elementary School, Vista Heights Middle School, and Canyon Springs High School. There are also several private and charter schools available like Valley Christian Academy, Calvary Christian School, and Riverside County Educational Academy. Moreno Valley College has more than 6,000 students and there are several other colleges in Riverside.

Box Spring Mountain Park offers 3.6 miles of wilderness trails and visitors have the opportunity to see several types of animals. This park is open all year and leashed dogs are allowed on the trails. The Canyon Crest Country Club to the southwest features golf, swimming, tennis, and youth camps as well as facilities for private events.

Stores and restaurants can be found near the Interstate 215. You will find several shopping centers like Moreno Valley Mall and the Rio Rancho Super Mall.

Moreno Valley is one of the younger cities in the region and is a part of Riverside County and the San Bernardino-Riverside Metropolitan area. It became the second largest as far as population in the county by the 2000s.
